Hi everyone, here some photos of Jesolo beach, very popular place in the summer... from here (well from Punta Sabbioni to be exactly) you can catch a watertaxi which takes you right to San Marco / Venice and back again!! Good way to relax after having spent hours of walking in Venice :O))))!!! Now it is still off season, although some hotels prepare to welcome some tourists for the easter vacation, but the season will not start until May.

Did you know that staying overnight in the parking lot of the Walmart Superstores is for free??!!! We shared the parking lot with about 40 RV (= recreation vehicles/typ A motorhomes :O))that was FUN!!!

HOWDE!! We went to the "Cheyenne Frontier Days" in Wyoming (1 of the 1000 places to see before you die, yeahhhhhh, so now we have only 999 left:O))))) - the world's largest outdoor Rodeo and Western collection, The "Daddy of 'Em All"!!
Buffolo Bill created the rodeo traditon with his travelling Wild West Show...today's event is a ten day carnival of rodeos, wild-horse races, marching bands, big-name country, inter tribal Indian dancing etc....so we saw bull riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, bare back bronc riding and saddle bronc riding!! Wow, that was really exciting!!! Elvy, ti avrebbe piaciuto!!!!!
We also want to present you JOHN THE BARISTA, he prepares the best coffee we ever had...mmmhhhhh sooooooooooo good (he insists that it's the milk which makes it so good, he uses "MEADOW GOLD", but you can also try "VIVA";o)), and Michelle, the SEVEN-STAR COOK!! her green chili is to die for!!!! ...and Coleton, our favourite ice hockey player from the NCYH Grizzlies!!!!

We arrived in Greeley on Wednesday evening!!!! What a nice town!!! Lucky US!! We have been welcomed in a beautiful, awesome "homy home" (:O)) and on top our friends Michelle, John and Coleton prepared a special surprise for us...THEY ORGANISED A SURPRISE GET TOGETHER WITH ALL THE GUYS WHICH YOU CAN SEE ON THE PHOTOS ON THURSDAY EVENING!!!!! That was sooooo great!!!

Yesterday and today we have been visiting Mesa Verde NP, according to the National Geographic Traveller "One of the 50 places to visit in life" - we definitely agree!

Mesa Verde, Spanish for "green table", offers the opportunity to see and experience a unique cultural and physical landscape. The culture represented at Mesa Verde reflects more than 700 years of history. From approximately A.D. 600 through A.D. 1300 people lived and flourished in communities throughout the area, eventually building elaborate stone villages in the sheltered alcoves of the canyon walls. Today most people call these sheltered villages "cliff dwellings". The cliff dwellings represent the last 75 to 100 years of occupation at Mesa Verde. In the late 1200s within the span of one or two generations, they left their homes and moved away. The archeological sites found in Mesa Verde are some of the most notable and best preserved in the United States.

NEVADA -Grand Canyon- to COLORADO via UTAH

Abbiamo lasciato Las Vegas qualche giorno fa...piu' precisamente il 13...e con la nostra "Pontiac" abbiamo cominciato la nostra avventura attraverso l'America. Appena sara' possibile inseriremo alcune foto :-) Fuori da Las Vegas e' tutto cosi' diverso..che si fa fatica a immaginare di essere ancora in America!!! Strade semideserte e si guida per miglia e miglia...attraverso il deserto del Nevada...per arrivare poi in Utah...per visitare la Monument Valley...dove sono stati girati quasi tutti i film Western... con John Wayne :-)) ma anche Telma e Louise o Ritorno al Futuro 3....etc...da ieri siamo in Colorado...qua e' tutto piu' verde!!! E fa anche un po' piu' freschino!! Fino adesso abbiamo sempre dormito in alberghi 1.000.000 di stelle :-)))) ovvero in macchina :-)) ci sono un sacco di parchi nazionali qui in America e noi abbiamo attrezzato la nostra "Pontiac" per poter dormire da "papi" :-))))))) Cosi' abbiamo dormito un po' qua e la...nel deserto...nei boschi...
Per il momento ci fermeremo qui qualche giorno...poi riprenderemo la strada per San Francisco :-)))

Anche in mezzo al Pacifico Sud....ci siamo svegliati alle 7:30 di mattina per essere pronti in tempo per vedere la partita...GIA' voi siete 12 ore in avanti rispetto a noi :-))))))) 9:00 di mattina, birra e sigaro....(abbiamo guardato la partita a casa di un cubano) E' stata dura ma alla fine ce l'abbiamo fatta!!!! La Claudia e' un po' triste ma non potrebbe essere diverso :-)) Io le dico:"E' solo un gioco" e lei mi risponde "Almeno mi resta il Portogallo" , ma non ho capito bene perche' :-))))???
Qui e' bellissimo a parte il fatto che Internet costa 2 BOTTI!! quindi niente foto fino a quando non arriviamo in America!!!! Abbiamo fatto snorkeling 2 giorni fa :-)) BELLISSIMO! Ci spostiamo con lo scooter...o in canoa!!! Abbiamo conosciuto parecchia gente interessante dalle Fiji...dall'America...dall'Inghilterra....dall'Australia...etc ....etc...
Insomma sapete che siamo vivi e che facciamo le feste in spiaggia la sera :-)) Questo e' tutto :-)))

Good Morning from Auckland Airport!!!
We spent one entire week in Christchurch where we successfully have managed to sell our car (Flippo the Toyota!!!) on the Backpackers Car Market...and where we also met up again with our friends Kristina and Stephie from Germany for 2 days... The weather was so so cold and on some days it was also snowing...brrrrr
We left yesterday evening by plane to Auckland where we spent the night on one of the many benches of the airport and now are waiting to check in to our flight for the Cook Islands...

Just 30 km north of Kaikoura you can see a whole seal colony lying there on the beach...on and between rocks!!! FREEEEEE animals!!! Spectacular!!... and you do not even have to pay for it!!!!!
In Kaikoura we have also met up with Kathrin and her brother Matze and did the Whale Watch toghether...

Pubblichiamo anche se in ritardo :-) alcune foto della cena di addio...
We forgot that we haven't written about our time in Picton...ohh (it's because the computer didn't work at that time!!!) ...well we stayed in Sequoia Lodge where we have found work as woofers aswell...what a great hostel!! Thank you Robyn and Paula!! Toghether with us there were Caro from Germany, Rosa from Taiwan, Miwa from Japan, Gina from England, Aussie from Oz, Dave from the UK and many more nice people...we had a lot of fun, especially on our last evening there when Dany made Pizza for 14!!! Yummyyyyy!
On our free day we did the 1 day Queen Charlotte Track in the Marlborough Sounds...to go there we had to catch the watertaxi from Picton and after one hour it dropped us off at Ship Cove...the same place where Captain Cook arrived some hundreds of years ago when he discovered New Zealand..WOW...amazing, especially as at this time of the year only very few people do the track (we where 3 altogether) ..and so we felt a little bit like pioneers aswell ;O)))) only us three there...we spent a great sunny day with basically 5 hours moderate walking and caught the watertaxi again in the late afternoon from Endevour Inlet (named after one of Cooks ships) back to Picton...where we went straight for the HOT SPAPOOL to relax :O))))

Hi...we have left Motueka and went to Punakaiki to see the PANCAKE ROCKS (they look like manypancakes one on top of the other :O)) that's where the name comes from :O))), we stayed in a really nice isolated place called TE NIKAU RETREAT...seemed more like a mountain hut than a backpackers...very nice, there we met Helen (UK) and Philippe Louis XVI (:O)))) Canada), a really nice couple and because of the heavy rain we stayed there not only 1 night but 2! (there is nothing to do already...just imagine when on top of this it is raining!!!!!!!!!haha!!) oh...by the way, on the way to Punakaiki we had a FLAT tyre!! :O((( but Dany managed even during heavy rainfall to change the tyre and to get us going!!! yeahhhhhhhhh!!
So 2 days later we were on the road again ready for new adventures...we stopped in Greymouth, ok little town further down the Westcost and we stayed in another awesome hostel GLOBAL VILLAGE, oh, this place was so great!!!!!! Whoever passes through G. -> this is the place to stay overnight!!! The next day was pretty warm and sunny and we decided to take the LEWIS PASS cross the country over to the other side of the island to KAIKOURA...we passed by the Southern Alps and saw a lot of snow!!! In the afternoon we stopped in HAMMER SPRINGS - beautifuuuuuul!!! little ski town in the mountains with a large thermal area and hot pools- for a cup of hot chocolate before finally haeding on to Kaikoura.
KAIKOURA...many hostels, but only few good ones...went to do the famous WHALEWATCHING tour today and that was just AAAAAWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Bright sunshine and
and a clear view as far as you could see...Kaikoura is right on the pacific and in the back there are the mountains...wow!! Well, our trip started at 12.45pm, we met there also Kathrin and her brother Matze (we arranged yesterday that we could be on the same tour together) ...we went out on a boat especially equipped to encounter the signals of the whales...we saw 5!!! sperm whales and many many dolphins!!!!!! ahhhh so so so beautiful, we had such a great day!!

...as the name already says...shared meal means that everybody is preparing a dish and then we eat all together...that was a GREAT evening and we had a lot of fun!!! 15 guests of the hostel participated and everyone cooked something different...there was couscous, curry vegies, rice, greek salad with pasta, PIZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!, meat balls, garlic bread and much more... fresh ovenbaked muffins and chocolate cookies with vanilla icecream for dessert...mmmmhhhh yummy!! so here are some photos we take during preparation "peak hour" in the kitchen :O)))))

Hello everybody, in questi giorni ci troviamo vicino a Wellington :-) ...anche se il tempo non ci e' molto favorevole...abbiamo trovato un ostello davvero carino (5 stelle e un po' di luna) :-)
www.moanalodge.co.nz fatevi un giretto virtuale all'interno e' davvero confortevole. Alla sera ci si addormenta cullati dal rumore del mare... Cosa simpatica non c'e' il televisore...cosi tutti dopocena si ritrovano nel salottino per fare 4 chiacchere...attualmente sono tutte in tedesco :-))) ci sono solo ragazzi/e dalla Germania! Appena avremo nuove foto le inseriremo...per il momento godetevi quelle che abbiamo appena inserito...Ciao Marieberg!!! grazie per i bei commenti e anche per il quiz anche se sembra che nessuno sia interessato ai 10Kg del menu' visto che nessuno ha ancora partecipato al quiz :-)))))
Vi vogliamo raccontare una cosa simpatica che ci e' successa la settimana scorsa a Wanganui, stavamo facendo la spesa al supermercato PAK' N SAVE http://www.paknsave.co.nz/Homepage.aspx quando siamo stati fermati e ci hanno chiesto se eravamo disposti a rispondere ad alcune domande...VAAA BENE...Cosi' dopo averci sistemati in un angolino e' spuntata la telecamera ...abbiamo fatto la nostra piccola intervista...e alla fine ricevuto 50 dollari da spendere nel supermercato :-) Marienberg...se ti serve qlc dal supermercato...mandami la lista...

Ciao ragazzi,
scusate l'assenza ma siamo stati impegnati a sopravvivere in questi ultimi giorni....abbiamo lavorato presso questo ostello www.erualodge.co.nz ...tutto suonava benissimo e noi pensavamo di dover operare alcuni lavoretti di manutenzione ordinaria 4 ore di lavoro in cambio di vitto e alloggio insomma un piatto caldo e un letto...BALLE!!! Quando siamo arrivati ci siamo trovati di fronte il MACELLO!!! Prima cosa gli alloggi per lo staff...siamo dovuti entrare con la tuta anti-radiazioni da tanto erano sporchi....per la cronaca...ci siamo dovuti "pulire" la nostra stanza...ho usato la cariola e la pala!! Il lavoro assegnatoci ....Mah, primo giorno, cosa sara' mai...dovete dipingere una casa... ah, prima di dipingere dovete togliere il colore vecchio... il lavoro in se' non era male...ci e' venuto male quando abbiamo visto le cucine dove veniva preparato il cibo per tutti!!! Piu' che viste le cucine le abbiamo sniffate da lontano tanto puzzavano!!!:-)) Mi scuso se state leggendo il blog e nel frattempo mangiando!!! Il menu' era molto molto molto molto molto molto semplice patate e cipolle cipolle e patate, pure' di patate, patate al forno, cipolle in padella...ho assaporato quello che abbiamo soprannominato "IL MENU' DEI COMBATTENTI"
:-)))). Ci sono state tuttavia delle cose positive....Il paesaggio (domani inseriremo alcune foto), gli animali ...cavallo compreso, grazie Sparky e SKY TV!!!!
Adesso ci troviamo a New Plymouth costa OVEST della Nuova Zelanda dove hanno girato gran parte del film "L'ultimo Samurai" (mi dispiace Susy ma Tom e' gia' andato via da un pezzo...niente autografo) domani foto anche del posto! Questa sera per festeggiare il ritorno alla civilta' e agli abiti puliti andiamo al cinema!! Mission Impossible 3 ...

Hallo Belinda, leider konnte ich mich nicht frueher melden, da wir eine Woche auf einem Bauernhof an der Ostkueste www.silvertrees.co.nz waren und dort kein Netz fuer die Handys hatten ... Uns geht's prima, auf dem Bauernhof hat es uns super gut gefallen, da gab es ca. 25 Pferde (davon 3 Fohlen), 500 Schafe, 30 Kuehe, 4 Esel, 9 Hirsche, 3 Hunde und 2 Katzen, unsere Aufgaben waren unterschiedlich...wir haben uns um bestimmte Pferde gekuemmert (nicht alle 25!), z.B. abends zudecken, morgens abdecken, Futter herrichten, fuettern...Tiere von einer Koppel auf eine andere bringen...die Koppeln von Pferdemist saeubern, ein bischen Hausarbeit (abspuelen, Geschirrspueler ein- und ausraeumen) ... am Nachmittag hatten wir meist 2-3 Stunden frei und konnten an die verschiedenen Straende fahren die meist mit dem Auto nur 10-30 Minuten entfernt waren. Abends haben wir alle zusammen (ausser uns war noch eine Farmhelferin - Mirijam- da) ganz oft bis spaet in die Nacht "Risiko" gespielt, das war eine Riesengaudi!! An unserem letzten Abend haben wir dazu noch Irish Coffee getrunken und bis 3.30 morgens gespielt...am Morgen danach waren wir echt fertig!!! :O)))
Sind jetzt 2 Tage in Napier gewesen und fahren heute weiter nach Taupo und morgen dann in den Tongariro National Park wo wir eine Woche in der Erua Lodge www.erualodge.co.nz bleiben und dort beim renovieren (streichen und abschmiergeln) mithelfen, wir bekommen als Gegenleistung freie Unterkunft und Verpflegung. In dem National Park wurden auch einige Szenen von "Herr der Ringe" gefilmt und wir sind schon ganz gespannt einige der "Orte" zu besichtigen...

Ricetta per un buon Tiramisu

Domenica sera abbiamo fatto una serata italiana in fattoria e sono stata incaricata di preparare un Tiramisu...ma non avevo una ricetta pronta a memoria e quindi ho chiesto (grazie a internet) aiuto al nostro pasticcere preferito nel lontano Susegana in bella Italia, famoso per il suo Tiramisu eccezionale. La sua risposta e' stata la seguente... ed e' veramente un capolavoro quindi merita di essere pubblicata:

RICETTA PER UN BUON TIRAMISU

- Una mucca (ma che sia Vacca veramente con delle belle tette per fare del buon latte)
- Quattro galline (anche senza tette, tanto il gallo non ha le mani per “palpare “ le tette alla
gallina, devono fare solo le uova.
- Un maiale (perché c’è in ogni fattoria, un porco lo trovi sempre….)
- Una talpa (per trovare le barbabietole da zucchero)
- Un pirata (perché sa sempre dove trovare del buon caffe e del buon Rum)

PROCEDIMENTO

Non mettere mai insieme il porco con la vacca, non ne viene fuori niente di buono, sarebbe una maialata.

Recarsi con un pentolino dalla mucca per la mungitura.
Prendere il capezzolo della mucca e stringere il capezzolo con un movimento dall’alto verso il basso finchè esce il latte.
Guardare la mucca, se la mucca non trova piacere l’operazione è stata eseguita male, ripetere l’operazione finchè la mucca trova piacere, se gode avete esagerato……..

Grazie al pasticcere, il Tiramisu e' stato un vero successo!!!

Siamo andati via dalla fattoria ieri pomeriggio, era veramente difficile a dire addio e quindi abbiamo oggi cambiato i nostri piani (andiamo sull'isola sud al 31/05 invece del 06/05) e torniamo nella stessa fattoria fra due settimane per altre due settimane (inutile quindi a dire che ci ha veramente piaciuto!!:O)))))
Ci troviamo a Napier al momento (citta' con tantissimi costruzioni ancora nel stile "Art Deco") e domani partiamo per Taupo. Dany ho prenotato il suo "skydive" (paracaduta) per venerdi' mattina, uahhhhhh che bello, spero che riusciamo a mettere qualche foto poi' nel blog!!!!!

We could start every sentence with an "Thank you for...", but this would just get too long and therefore here only a short version: Thank you for making us feel really welcome and confident about the various chores to do; what makes Maxine really outstanding is that she is able to match the persons with the right work, she picks up what you like and what you are confident to work on and she matches you with that kind of job. She teaches you what to do in simple steps and never gets tired of repeating, in case you didn't understand right away and is always available answering tons of questions about their way of living and also sharing her very profond knowledge about horses and everything what has to do with it. Maxine is a great cook too!!! Chicken green curry especially!!SilverTrees is a farm where animals are well looked after, loved and considered part of the family, from the georgeous horses like Gambler, Tosca and Red, George and Dream, Rupert (dog), Pussky (cat)...etc... to Flossi (38 year old horse), Max and Snowy (Donkys)and it is even home to a blind sheep ("Olivia"). Noone gets left behind.Unfortunately we had to travel on today, but if we have any chance to go back to SilverTrees we definitly will do it!

Ciao a tutti... abbiamo lasciato Gisborne dopo 5 giorni bellissimi, finally abbiamo trovato lavoro in questa fattoria: http://www.silvertrees.co.nz/ siamo dispersi nel mezzo di nulla!!! Niente cellulare ...Siamo a circa 30 Km dalla cittadina piu' grande...in mezzo alla natura...Qui ovviamente ci sono cavalli :-)) come potrebbe essere altrimenti!!! Allevano Pinto, una razza veramente molto bella, qui in cambio di lavoro abbiamo vitto e alloggio e siamo ospiti di Maxine e la sua famiglia! Il lavoro consiste nel prendersi cura dei cavalli e preparare il cibo...posso assicurare che mangiano molto molto bene :-)) Qui ci fermeremo una settimana...Un' esperienza davvero forte! Ho inserito una foto...qui il computer e' lentino....dovete avere pazienza...presto molte piu' foto...

GOOOOOOOD MORNING EVERYBODY, ....vi diamo il buongiorno da Gisborne visto che e' la prima citta' al mondo a vedere il sole...Sfortunatamente questo computer non mi permette di inserire foto....ma lo faremo al piu' presto!!
Il tempo e' stato clemente e abbiamo avuto un bel week end di Pasqua soleggiato. Ci sono un sacco di posti carini qui intorno ...ieri siamo stati in un "Arboretums" ovvero un parco grandissimo dove hanno piantato tantissime specie diverse di alberi da tutto il mondo!

Eccoci di nuovo qui...dunque eravamo rimasti che avevamo trovato lavoro in una fattoria... (quella del cavallo zoppo) abbiamo disdetto!! Infatti ci era pervenuta un'altra offerta diciamo piu' VANTAGGIOSA, eravamo riusciti ad avere un posto per 3 settimane...MA sempre in buco di c....o. Quindi non ci siamo presentati!!!O meglio siamo arrivati fino a davanti alla porta ...e poi abbiamo girato la macchina :-)))) 3 settimane a contare le stelle del ciel...??? Cmq alla fine abbiamo tentato almeno altri 25 posti tutti occupati...e qui mi e' venuto il dubbio che i lavoratori volontari o willing workers in verita' siano gestiti dalla MAFIA!! ups...posso scrivere MAFIA in un blog?? beh, visto che il blog e' il mio faccio quello che voglio!!!:-) Per il momento abbiamo trovato una panetteria organica (un pane di m.....a), che ci ha offerto un lavoro per maggio, quando ci sposteremo nell'isola Sud. Staremo a vedere...Intanto negli ostelli della gioventu' non si sta male...A TUTTI I RAGAZZI DI SESSO MASCHILE IN ITALIA....SVEEEEEGLIAAAAA!!! First of all, thanks Michelle to try to translate with a translator the italian bull-shit (can I write bull-shit in a blog?? anyway is mine...so I can write whatever I want :-)) that I write from italian to english...I think is really kind from you...Anyway here...far far away from Auckland is another story...We stay really really good, we found an hostel that was amazing, next time we'll put some picture because this time I forgot the cable :-)))) Everything is going well, tomorrow we'll start the work as willing worker in a "farm" (not propetly) that do as business tracking with horses...SO I HOPE I CAN RIDING AND NOT ONLY CLEAN THE HORSES' SHIT....;-)))) so now I 'll write something for your translator...Ciao ragazzi!!! ho visto la vostra presenza calare un pochino...cosa sara' la primavera???Bene, continuo ad annoiarvi con le ultime notizie...actually we changed our mind ...ovvero abbiamo cambiato idea e fattoria abbiamo trovato lavoro per 3 settiamane in una fattoria che non e' proprio una fattoria...hanno una attivita' di trekking a cavallo, cosi' spero di non spalare solo merda :-) ma di fare qualche cavalcata...cmq vi faro' sapere... Dopo la parentesi Auckland, finalmente domani ci spostiamo verso nord...abbiamo contattato una fattoria (l'unico cavallo che hanno e' malato...quando si dice la s.....a :-)))) vabeh, intanto cominciamo questa avventura...quindi siete avvisati che se non rispondiamo alle vostre numerose e sempre gradite e-mails e' perche' siamo sperduti in tanta malora ...dove lupo e volpe si dicono buonanotte verso le 5 del pomeriggio .... insomma quando dico sperduti intendo proprio sperduti...sempre che la nostra Toyota non decida di lasciarci a piedi prima...:-))) il che mi farebbe agitare un pochino :-)))) Un salutone a Mayo...G...Marienberg (sempre nel mio cuore)....e chi piu ne ha piu ne metta....

2 days ago we arrived in Auckland, the flight was pretty good as there were only few people, so we could have 2 seats each and sleep a little...Air New Zealand is really a good airline with extraordinary friendly staff!!!!!!!!!!! and good food too!
From the airport to the hostel we took the Airport bus, which dropped us you off almost right in front of the Hostel (Albert Park Backpackers)... This place is crap, dirty and noisy and we would never stay there again!!!!!!!! At least it is right in the centre and so we can easily walk everywhere in just a few minutes...
After thinking how to move around here in NZ and after checking out the offers for bus passes etc. we decided that it's best to buy a car and to sell it again once we are leaving...so we went to the Backpackers Car Market (everyday from 09.00am - 5.00 pm) and now we are the proud owners of a white Toyota Corona from 1988.... the service they offer at this Car Market place is incredible, from
Legal check (35NZD, to see if the car might be stolen or if there are debts on it or not paid speed tickets: you don't have to do it, only if you want)
Mechanical check (120 NZD, guess which car the mechnic drove????BrandNEW AUDI A4 TURBO - with what he earns at this place, it didn't surprise us!!!!:O))
Ownership transfer (31NZD, but you can also do it at the post office and there it costs only 9 NZD)
Third part insurance (WHICH IS NOT COMPULSATPRY HERE IN NZ - CAN YOU IMAGINE???, anyways, we did it and it costs 157,50 NZD for 3 months)
to do all these things it takes about 1,5 h and you can drive away with the car as the legally new owner with insurance and everything...isn't that incredible??????????????????? compared to how much time it takes in other countries (no names!!!:O)))

FINALMENTE CI SIAMO....
siamo arrivati questa mattina da HK verso le 10 e qlc...non domandatemi di essere piu' preciso...sono ancora troppo rico...tronato.
Cmq in dogana qui sono davvero tosti...hanno le palle quaDRE come si dice in gergo! Un sacco di domande su cosa ci fai qui...quanto ti fermi...che lavoro fai in Italia... ce li hai i soldi?? No, io ho Marienberg...Ah beh, allora passa pure mi hanno detto!
Poi si passa al controllo biologico...non si puo' importare cibo sfuso e devi dichiarare tutto...se sei entrato in contatto con animali negli ultimi 30 gg...quali paesi hai visitato prima...se ti sei portato dietro attrezzatura da montagna...oppure stivali da equitazione (come il sottoscritto)...devono sapere tutto, cmq lo trovo giusto...essendo un isola le uniche cose che possono arrivare te le "portano"!!
Ho pensato...le facessero anche in Italia un paio di domandine in piu' ogni tanto...mica farebbe male :-))
Adesso siamo in un ostello per la gioventu' in attesa di organizzarci...Marienberg, ho detto ostello e non BORDELLO ...no ribadisco la cosa...perche' so che sei un po' sospettosa :-))))

Salve a tutti....Good Afternoon everybody!!

...siamo approdati in Cina a Guanzhou... fico!! Caro il mio HK...qua le cose sono davvero diverse, ma dirlo e viverlo e' tutto un altra cosa, stanno costruendo come i pazzi...c'e una nuova classe che sta emergendo un sacco di investimenti dall'estero...pero' c'e' ancora tanta tanta poverta'!
Cosi' i prezzi si scontrano da un lato, se nei ristoranti popolari puoi mangiare in tre spendendo 6 euro e mezzo, dall'altra un caffe' in una catena occidentale ti costa 2 euro e sessanta...
Cosi' la forbice si allarga!
C'e' una cosa che pero' e' doveroso provare quando vieni...il MASSAGGIO! Incredibile quello che ti combinano...ieri mi hanno davvero "massacrato" pero' poi sei rilassato come un bambino!!
Ah...messaggio quasi personale per Fabrizio...la ChinaLogistic e' fantastica! Qui in bici riescono a trasportare di tutto :-))) Se mi mandate un e-mail vi spedisco a casa un fattorino completo di bicicletta...
La gente e' un po' "strana" mi sento sempre osservato come un MARZIANO...e sono molto meno sorridenti rispetto agli abitanti di HK, forse sono meno abituati alla multietnicita'...(spero si scriva cosi') ... quello che mi fa sentire come a casa e' pero' il modo in cui guidano...ci vedo molto Napoli in tutto questo...si rischia veramente la vita ad attraversare la strada! :-)) si passa col rosso... si parcheggia sui marciapiedi!! (quando si dice che tutto il mondo e' paese).
Quello che non e' cambiato qui (in tanti anni) e' l'uso della la vitamina B...(anzi forse e' cambiato qualcosa... ai tempi di Mao c'erano meno soldi e meno corruzione) ovvero per qualsiasi cosa tu voglia realizzare ti servono le conoscenze giuste...MARIA...ma sto scrivendo della Cina o dell'Italia?? Vuoi aprire un night ...tranquillo ti serve l'aggancio con la polizia....e beh altrimenti ti fanno sacco di problemi...se invece prendi la vitamina ...liscio come l'olio...vuoi lavorare tranquillo nella tua fabbrica?? beh allora devi trovare un posticino per il parente del funzionario...o del politico...e poi non fare caso se questo non viene proprio ogni mattina a svolgere il suo lavoro...:-)

N O N N E P O S S O PIUUUUUUUUUUUUU'!! fra un po' mi crescono gli ali!!!!!!!!
E' molto difficile a salvarsi dal pollo se vai mangiare in compania cinese...perche' sembra il pollo non manca mai nel menu!!!
zuppa di pollo densissimo, zuppa di pollo meno denso, zuppa con pollo intero (ahh che bel aspetto!!:O)) e con pollo tipo maccinato (ancora piu' bello)
c'e' del pollo con salsa dolce o salsa piccante...pollo fritto o pollo cucinato a VAPOREEEE!!!

here in Hongkong you can find everything and even more!!!!!!!!! there are little restaurants (HONEYMOON DESSERT)which only live on selling fruit desserts (mango soup, banana pancake, cocnut bean curd..and many more) and they sell so many that in the evening you'll have to stand in line outside these places for about 15 min until you can get a place to sit!!

and!!!!!! in the toilets they have waste bins that open by themselves, you just need to pass by the sensor with your hand!! what a relief!!!WOW!

Times Square, Sherman and Conny

Yesterday (thursday, 23/03/06) it was raining almost all day...so we spent some time in Times Square shopping mall...it's huge and I think you can stay there more than one day and still have not seen all...anyways, I needed to buy a new backpack as the one I borrowed from my friend was killing my back and made me have nightmares only thinking of continuing to travel on with it!! Hurraaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I found one, thank's God and NORTH FACE haha!!
In the evening we met up in Tsim Sha Tsui with a really nice couple, Sherman and Conny, they are from Hongkong... we went to a chinese restaurant and once again had real delicious food!!

vegetables with 5 sort of mushrooms
fried fishfingers with sweet chili sauce
eggsalad with crab meat
peking duck (mmmmmmmmmmmh sooo soo tasty, you could eat it every evening!)

After dinner we went back to Wan Chai by ferryboat (2,2 HK$ per person one way, incredible!!) and then stopped for a last cup of tea in one of the many coffee places here, this one is called PACIFIC COFFEE COMPANY (very similar to STARBUCKS) and offers 15 min free internet access when you purchase something to dring here...

Thank you Sherman and Connie for the georgeous evening, we had a great time and enjoyed your company so much!!

Chinese restaurant Wednesday with Tennie, Bonnie and Jessica

On Wednesday evening we have been to a chinese restaurant to eat REAL chinese cuisine!! I was very excited...and as we went there with some of Danys friends, they ordered for us aswell...so here is the menu:
cold chicken with mustard sauce
jellyfish salad
chicken soup
vegetables (broccoli with mushrooms)
fried tigerprawns in sweet chili sauce!! (mmmhhh yummy)
peking duck (served in a flat sort of bread with some cucumbers and sweet sauce, really tasty too!!)
mixed fruit
yasmin tea (wow, that is really good tea!!)

We had a lot of fun and ate really well, thanks again to Tennie, Bonnie and Jessica that they have brought us there, we had a real great time!

Lantau Island

In HK for breakfast a latte macchiato and a tuna sandwich, there are plenty of awesome coffee shops (not only Starbucks and pret a manger) and coffee here tastes soooooooooooooo good!!!
PUBLIC TOILETS: CLEAN!!!! yuhu!!!
LOCAL PEOPLE: VERY FRIENDLY and SO HELPFUL!!!
Today we took the ferry from Pier 6 to Lantau Island to visit the giant bronze Buddha statue.
It was a 30 min ferry ride and another 30 min busride from the harbour of Lantau Island (thanks to our driver which we used to call "little Schumacher" as he drove the 56 seater bus uphill and downhil as a race car ;o)) It was well worth it, the Buddha statue aswell as the enclosed monastery are beautiful!! Coming back from the island we went to "Tsim Sha Tsui" to meet up with Danys friend Sandy...we were early and so we took the time to have a look around there...it's a real busy area, packed with shops and people, neon lights and indian streetsellers and it's hard to walk on the sidewalk as there are just too many people walking and others who definitely want to sell you something (Marion remember Tijuana???)...in the end we "escaped into a shopping mall (because way less crowded) and waited there until it was time to meet with Sandy. And then there she was, a really lovely young lady, we were very happy that she could manage to meet with us!! We went for dinner in a vietnamese restaurant which was not only beautiful in furniture but also offered an excellent cuisine!! Never ate rice steamed in a real coconut before...mmmhhhh yummy!! I think at some point the waiter felt really pity for me, as he came up to our table and brought me fork and knife...the others had already passed on to the main course while I was still trying to catch the broccoli from the starter plate with my chop sticks :o))))))))
By metro (only 3 stops from Tsim Sha Tsui and 20 min walking) we went back to Wan Chai where we are now to write a little bit in the blog...
